The Fire Sermon by Francesca Haig

3.0

3.5 Stars. I agree with the majority of reviewers who say the last third of the book drags, but it was overall very readable. The story is good and the characters are well developed, but I feel like the book could easily have been cut down by 100 pages. The further you read, the more repetitive it becomes. If I had to listen to Cass describe her 'visions' one more time, I was going to scream. The last third of the book really drags as not much happens once they get off the island, but the ending is decent. I plan to read 'Map of Bones' when it comes out, and am curious to see where the author will take this story.
