I honestly enjoyed this novella more than the original series. I loved seeing the world through the eyes of Bree as a new born vampire. I enjoyed reading about that situation she was in under Riley's control.

My heart broke for her when she discovered Riley had lied about Deigo being alive. I wanted her to have a happy ending so badly, even though I knew that she wouldn't. I really liked her as a character.
