I have never really read horror books, preferring fantasy over everything else. This book had me terrified out of my mind every evening that I read it, so much so I had to take a couple days off to stop the nightmares. The ending took a "surprising" turn, but I suspected as much. There are clues to what is happening peppered throughout the book if you pay close enough attention. I know some people didn't like the ending, but I did. It tore me up worse than a Nicholas Spark book. If you're looking for a terrifying emotional rollercoaster, this is the book for you.
