it’s not that the hot stuff was bad, it was pretty good. The characters, characterization, inevitable cringe were all par for the course. But when Carole dies in the ICU and Sean had the panicked moment with god? Woof. Sobbing and woof. Idk how the author managed to tie smut to religion and have THAT be the CLEANEST most WHOLESOME part of the book. And Lizzys suicide . Fuck
