Well. It's not that often that I read such garbage and end up having nothing nice to say. Wait no that's not true. The good thing about this book is that I learned never to trust anyone who recs this author, and to never read shit from him. At least it was only 68 pages.
This is a thinly disguised story about hating trans women, mocking and fetishizing their bodies, and being completely transmisogynistic.
The plot is threadbare and vague, the horror parts largely based on evil black colored monsters, evil brown people, trans women who are sexually manipulative rapists, and the prose is lackluster and barren of anything interesting.
How the fuck is the cover art more intersting than the plot?
Ok so listen, the book is just 10 people sleeping in a dump of a abandoned building, the days going by very quickly and repetitioously. There's no breathing space to let characters develop so it's all 1 dimensional snap shots before woops, this character is gone, now. There is some exploration of the building but it's all largely the same place, aside from repeating 'graffiti' which is just 1s and 0s written compulsively onto walls. The threat is non existent.
If you enjoyed this book you need to kill yourself. There's really no hope for you.
