Cynthia is a new author to me, so I went into this not knowing what to expect and from page one I was completely consumed by this dark retelling fairytale. I am loving these retellings in Sinister Fairy Tales series, and this one blew me away. It's certainly on the darker side. It's full of secrets, obsession, revenge, passion, and love.
Moria, the heroine of the story was extraordinary. With each scene in this book, she grew inbounds, she fights the darkness that lives within her and her strength shines through... She will take risks and doesn't really fear death. The author played her character perfectly in my opinion.
S0l, the Hero of the tale is dark, someone to fear but throughout the book, I saw glimpses of other sides to him and at first, I wasn't a massive fan but as the story progressed, I found myself completely smitten with him.
All in all, this was a one of a kind romance, I haven't really read anything like it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The author made it easy to follow the storyline and created some amazing characters, and it was so well written.
