This book was pretty delightful. About a fifteen years old girl, Phoebe, who's doctor mother goes on long medical aid sojourns. She is frequently left with her mom's best friend who runs a cancer research charity thrift shop. Phoebe's best friend falls in love and, feeling left behind, Phoebe makes friends with the charity shop volunteers and employees, including Emma, on whom Phoebe may or may not have a crush. Throw in some designer cats and kittens, a lot of snark, and plenty of teenage confusion and this was a fun and easy read.
