I actually loved this book!
It didn't feel that long which was a plus but the atmosphere seemed really dark, which I didn't like.... Anyway, the whole plot was pretty believable but the fact that they smushed the whole plot of this second book into nine months? That wasn't very believable, I mean I guess if I go back and count the days, it might add up, but in my mind it doesn't.
I loved the relationship between Gild and Serilda and how it developed, and I know that Erkling was the villain, but I couldn't help feeling bad for him. He just wanted to have his true love and make her happy, albeit the methods that he tried to use were not the best, but he had good intentions.
