It was a sweet change of pace to read a “morally white” mmc romance arc with two (borderline too-good-to-be-true) kind and unproblematic characters. I wish them the best and would gladly marry either of them myself. That being said, the plot was slow and accomplished very little, the writing was poorly proofread, and the actual love story and drama of the world ultimately left me feeling kinda meh/uninvested and uninterested in continuing the series. I’m not sure if I will continue given how long my tbr is and how short life is. This isn’t bad by any means though, and the low stakes and sweet characters will be just what someone else is looking for.
