Heartsick by Chelsea Cain
4.0

“I gave up everything I had in that basement” Archie’s voice was low, controlled. “My children. My wife. My work. My life. I was going to die. In her arms. And I was all right with that. Because she would be there” He looked right at Anne. “Taking care of me”
“She’s a psychopath”
A yellow cab pulled into the small parking lot behind the office. “Yeah”, Archie said, taking a step towards it. “But she’s my psychopath”

Wow in some fucked up way this caught me off guard.
I accidentally read the third book before I realised it was a series.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Instantly fell hook line and sinker into this.
Loved most of it. Gretchen is a complete and utter brilliant psychotic character, so clever!
Chelsea Cain just gets it completely right and captivates my full attention.
2 things I wasn’t keen on. The side plot for Susan’s other story... not interested. Also the twist at the end.... could see that coming a mile off
Loved this though, so I’m going to jump straight into the next one
