4.5
4.5. Oof this book was tough. Definitely a read that makes your heart hurt and can be very triggering, so I suggest checking out some trigger warnings before beginning.
But ultimately; I thought it was a great read. A really powerful story about love and motherhood and what can happen if you let resentment get in the way.
I’m not sure I loved the way the timeline was laid out, but it was a unique way of experiencing the story, the reader definitely feels like they’re right there alongside Sam and Efe the whole way.
