I have conflicting emotions about this...
On one hand, the writing style really isn't my cup of tea, and got me struggling to keep reading.
On the other hand though, the plot is intriguing, not much the first part tbh but it had me so engaged for the second half I couldn't pit the book down.
Alas, giving it 4 stars felt a bit like an insult to other books I very much enjoyed, we'll have to make do with 3.5
