Alex and Ren barely survived their last run-in with the order and now they're thrust right back into the mess. But the danger they're facing is nothing compared to the revelations that Alex must conquer. The desert holds secrets and answers he may not be prepared for.

As we near the end of the series, each book is getting progressively darker, which I have been enjoying. I have theories on how it's going to end because we are having Alex and Ren face more mature situations and consequences so the last could truly end with a punch.

This one though had us reading through some uncomfortable bugs and had a Star Wars family reunion moment. Also, hoping my favorite character is brought back, just sayin'.

I'm looking forward to finding out if my reader buddy and I are reading the bread crumbs right and predicting the end of the series. We shall see.

Would recommend.
