I'm an Alison Cochrun fan since I read The Charm Offensive a few years ago. I read Kiss Her Once for Me last December because 'holiday reading', and her stories are always different and always enjoyable. I love that she always has some kind of mental health representation and the way that she always shows that even though you have mental 'issues', those parts of your personality can also be bright spots of the person that you are when they are seen through the eyes of someone who loves you.

This story was harder because it was not just the issues and misunderstandings with the romantic couple, you also have the central focus on Joe's imminent death and how the nearness of it was affecting both MCs.

I love characters that Joe Delgado, someone who has such an impact on other people's lives, not because they're blood family, not because they're obligated to be there, but because they care and they care deeply and they show it. I love how Joe's relationships with Rosemary and Logan were different becuase each of those women needed something different from him and he could see it and be there for them accordingly.

Waiting for Joe's passing was hard; listening to the his girls emotions through it all was difficult, but you know it was because of how big his legacy on them really was, and that was beautiful. Can't wait to read Alison's next book.
