The Wild Man is a Tarzan retelling with tropes like savage & uncivilized alpha male, dub/con, forced nudity & forced pleasure. Please check the trigger warnings before reading!

The idea of the book sounded really interesting, the FMC Everlee, who is a journalist is trying to write her next story about savage Wild Man who behaves more like an animal than human living on his own in the wilderness.

The beginning of the book is dark and there was a point where I wasn’t sure whether I will continue reading the book, but I’m glad I did, because the book just got better and better towards the end.

The beginning of the relationship between Everlee and Wild Man was unconventional to say the least. I liked how their relationship and captor - captive dynamic evolved throughout the book. I liked how Everlee acknowledged the negative aspects of their relationship and dynamic instead of trying to ignore or dismiss them.

I would have loved to see a bit more build up of why Everlee was so interested in finding the Wild Man at the beginning of the book, now it jumped straight to action and Everlee getting into the wilderness to find him.

The pacing of the book was mostly good, only the ending felt a bit rushed. The book overall was well written and the storyline was interesting.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
