500 Miles from You
by Jenny Colgan
3.5 stars, but when I’m in the middle I always like to round up.
Jenny Colgan’s third installment in her Kirrinfief series has us meeting Lissa right as she experiences a tragic accident and the understandable PTSD that follows. She ends up doing a work swap of sorts with another nurse from Kirrinfief, Cormac. They slowly get to know each other through emailing, texting, and living in each other’s homes as they complete their work assignment.
I love Jenny Colgan since she, essentially, writes about her love of Scotland. As someone that is always wishing to visit Scotland again, I love reading her vivid descriptions of the Highlands. I also just love that a local loves where they live so much, and that it proves that I’m not just crazy being obsessed with a country I’ve visited a few times
