A pretty solid 3 stars, I think the book deserves hype but not as much as it got. I was expecting like a 5/5 starbook and honestly it wasn't that... I did however enjoy how well Colleen Hoover is able to make you hate someone so much, and how much your rooting for lily, the protagonist, and really sticking to her side. Someone also really needs to take away the italics key from Ms Hoover, because though I thought the idea of the letter being a way to show lily's past, I found them really one sided and difficult to read, and I found it really annoying to have to try and understand it. Generally decent, but way too overhyped. Not the best, not bad either.
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Infertility, Miscarriage, Panic attacks/disorders, Physical abuse, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Toxic relationship, Violence, Vomit, Medical content, Medical trauma, Death of parent, Pregnancy, Gaslighting, Toxic friendship, Sexual harassment
Uh, not for younger audiences- very dark and disturbing themes covered
