Wed Wabbit by Lissa Evans

4.0

This was a solid children's book, and the rhyming is top-notch. Writing poetry with just a few words is hard. Wed Wabbit is great, and it's fun to do the voices with my daughter, although I kept resisting (and occasionally failing) to scream "Thwo him to the floor, centuwion! Wuffley!"
So the big joke that everyone seems to be raving about is from Python, and it does seem like a lot of reviews were penned by Evans' friends in publishing, who gushed all over this, particularly the comedy. Aside from the titular language, I failed to notice any. Perhaps it's just me.
Don't let the overblown praise put you off, though. This is a very enjoyable story.
