The Solitaire Mystery by Jostein Gaarder

3.0

Although, not as compelling as Sophie's World, Gaardner gives an interesting story. It has a very Alice In Wonderland quality to it, but has more sense than Lewis Carrol. Although the exploration of philosophical ideas was somewhat shallow, his story provides a new way to look at the world and how we make sense of it. Maybe our lives are more fated than we think we are choosing to believe.
