Wrong Turn, Right Direction by Elle Casey

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book had all the promise in the world; an intruiging plot, sassy characters, macho main characters. But I just couldn't get into it. The heroine, Mika, didn't know she was pregnant. She's on the run from her mobster boss when she starts getting stomach cramps, turns the wrong way down a one way road, and hits a man. He's fine, but it turns out she's in labor! He delivers the baby, helps her in the hospital, and helps her run away from her boss who is looking for her.

The suspense parts were very flat to me. The hero in the story, Thibault, was WAY too bossy and Mika was very wishy-washy. Their chemistry seemed very forced. All of the sudden he was in love with her, for no apparent reason that I could tell. Also, I couldn't get into the having sex right after giving birth thing. THAT WOULD HURT. I don't know, some people seemed to love it, but it just wasn't the book for me.
