A Love So Sweet by Addison Cole
5.0

A Love So Sweet is the first story in the Weston Bradens collection by Addison Cole, which is the sweet alter ego pen-name of Melissa Foster. If you prefer your romance novels to stop at the bedroom door rather than have the full bedroom scene, then the Sweet with Heat novels are for you! This is the beginning of what promises to be a whirlwind of adventure in life and love.

The first book introduces us to Max and Treat, two strong and resilient individuals.  The novel takes us on their journey which is filled with internal struggles of trying to overcome past relationship woes. Can they manage to let go of the troubles of their past in order to have an open heart to their future together? I enjoyed watching the development of their relationship and can't wait to read the next books in the series.

I don't normally share quotes from ARC's because I can't guarantee that the final edited version has the quote, but this stood out to me and thought it truly captured the essence of the novel's mindset: "Everyone has something to overcome. I don't care if it's the prince of Egypt or the first lady. We all have broken pieces, and we have choices to make. We can either tiptoe around those pieces forever and let them guide our happiness, or if we're lucky, we can find someone who has a broom, a dustpan, and a bottle of glue, and try to make it work."
