The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

5.0

Holy buckets!! What an ending! Why don't you just cut my heart out with a spoon, Rick?! I loved it. Rick's stories continue to be excellent, and there's never a dull moment or a time where I'm just pushing through to get to the end--except to save my own heart from giving out because of the dire circumstances these poor characters face. Yes, I loved every page and wanted more at the end. Luckily, there are still two more books. The only thing is I'm still not sold on Jason. He just doesn't feel as real as the other characters, almost two-dimensional. It didn't help that we didn't get any chapters from him in this book. Besides that, I loved it and I can't wait to start the next one.
