Evil Queen: A Charity Anthology by Dee Lagasse

Ava - Chasity Tarantino

This particular short story features a woman still freshly reeling from a (a very much warranted) divorce. She's still struggling with all the hurt and anger after her ex-husband essentially wanted her to drop her life, goals, and dreams to be basically barefoot and pregnant.

I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. I definitely felt the raw emotions and could tell this was a piece that was very close and personal to the author's heart. Ava was an absolute powerhouse and deserves nothing but the best. She was written so strong yet she had all the vulnerabilities that make her human, which made me as a reader relate to her as if she were real. If Ava is an "evil queen" then I can only hope to be as bad as her
