This is the first book in the Veiled Kingdom Series and it every thing you love from Holly Renee. There are little bit of mystery, enemies to lovers, magic and forbidden romance. We have Nyra(or is it?) who escaped the castle and was living on the streets with her bestie Micah. They did what they had to get by. Then we have the hot, brooding Dacre who is the son of the leader of the rebellion. Holly Renee has this amazing ability to create a world that just envelops you. I was so immersed in the story when I got to the last page I was screaming! I was not ready for it to be over, I needed to know what happens!! So obviously I won’t sleep until I find out in the next book The Hunted Heir.
