An action-packed sequel to Daughter of the Moon Goddess, this book had everything I have come to expect from Sue Lynn Tan. Epic battles, family drama, and complicated loves plague our noble heroine, Xingyin. The story is quick paced, compelling, and hard to put down.

I was a little miffed that she ended up with Wenzhi and that her finding him again as a human was the end of the whole book. I know the romance was a big part of it but I always liked that romance wasn’t Xingyin’s primary motivation, more like an inconvenience to her higher goals. Now her final goal is to wait for this guy who betrayed her to remember who she is and fall in love with her again?? Ik he died for her or whatever but idk it just irked me.
