A Little Heart Stopping
I’ve had this series on my TBR for a while and I finally decided to give it a chance. My expectations are always low but when something comes along and exceeds my expectations I’m always surprised. The Stopover was definitely a surprise. It was good without being overly pretentious. The pacing was great for me and the banter was top tier. I love how Jameson isn’t afraid to tell Emily when she’s being a b!+{h and Emily isn’t afraid to call Jameson on his crap. I will however say they Emily’s penchant for jumping to conclusions, and constantly thinking and expecting the worst was not an enjoyable aspect of the book. What was really refreshing for me was the dirty talk in the book was done more by Emily than Jameson. You don’t see that very often and it was a nice change of pace. Overall this book was a 3.5 for me but I’m gonna round up with the hope that the next books are even better. 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
