Let's talk Beast of Salt
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
5 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Tropes:
"My little Queen"
Enemies to Lovers
Fated
Touch Her and Perish
Possessive MMC
TW:
Dubious Consent
Assault
Domestic Violence
Body Shaming
Pregnancy
Violence. So much violence.
Axe play
I cannot say how much I truly enjoyed this book. Fantasy can often be hard for me to follow. The lore and world building can sometimes leave me behind. In Beast of Salt the information was delivered so effortlessly I absorbed it with no problem. Not once did I feel lost in the story. Beast of Salt is set in Viking Times. As a result, Avina (FMC), is often body shamed for her fuller figure, overlooked, abused and essentially used as a bargaining tool by men, even though she is currently Queen. Sigvid, aka the Beast, doesn't shy away from a fight, and Avina sure does give him one. The chemistry between them was spicy and the sex is not for the weak. It does err on the side of darker so definitely mind your TWs darlings. Sigvid loves to get pleasure from his "little Queen" and is not shy about it.
If you like your romantasy a little dirty, unrestrained and filled with gratuitous axe usage, Beast of Salt would be the one.
