Brilliant audiobook narration by Catherine Ho, she really brings the mystical sadness of teenage girlhood out. What an incredible debut novel. Will definitely be following this author's career. Lighter on the body horror than I was expecting, but I think it perfectly juggles the magical realism / transformation theme alongside the very real self harm / lack of belonging themes.
