This is why, even though I'm not a natural comic/graphic novel fan, I challenge that perception of myself every now and then. I LOVED this volume. Way more than volume 1! This edition of Absolute Sandman compiles issues 21-39, including "Season of Mists", which is by far my favorite storyline so far. Maybe even my favorite storyline in any graphic novel that I've read in recent memory. I loved the mythology of it, the characters, the artwork, the humor - it bumped this to a five star review all by itself. I enjoyed "A Game of You" more than anything in volume 1 as well, but nowhere near "Season of Mists." Hoping we get more Thessaly in future issues ...
