I listened to this audiobook in the car and there was a number of times I straight up GASPED at the twists. A little confusing at some points, but I'd chalk that up to not paying attention all the way through. You gotta pay attention to this bc this is an incredible mystery with twists and turns and I think at one point I was convinced they all did the murders together somehow. Such a modern use of a well done and picked through genre. I read the second one first but I think I liked this one just a bit better, probably because of the intense action scenes. If you like golden age mysteries definitely check this out.
Graphic: Blood, Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Child death, Drug use, Gun violence, Suicide, Violence
