To be honest I thought that the writing was sophisticated but even though it was in first person I felt disconnected from the story. The cover art kinda creeped me out and I also skimmed through some of the lulls or boring parts. I was not expecting how erotic this book is and that took me by surprise. I was even more surprised to find out that this book was originally in French and translated into English. I think that the author did a really good job in filling in gaps in this person’s real life story. Overall, this was an intriguing read but I should try a pure nonfiction book instead.
