This book is like sitting down and having a cup of tea with dear friends. While telling the AO story it also encourages every homeschooling mom (and non-homeschooling as well!) to spread a feast of ideas for their children and themselves. Educating your children really is far less complicated than many people feel that it is. You are not responsible for making your child grow but for meal planning and giving "adequate and nourishing meals."
I know every one of these women even better through reading these stories and feel their passion for education in their families and helping others become confident and empowered to "teach" their own children. (The topic of "teach" is best left for another day.) Karen, your descriptions are exactly perfect in so many ways, and through your chapters, I've already listed three mothers I'd love to gift this book to. To every one of the advisory members and authors...thank you for the work and love you've put in for so many years.
