This book reminded me of "The Seas" by Samantha Hunt. They have a similar atmosphere and voice, and both books made me feel very wistful.
Glaciers was a very quick read, with beautiful and evocative writing. Even though I did enjoy it, it's probably not a book that is going to stick with me for a very long time. I think I would have preferred a bit more plot, and slightly less meandering.
