What a pleasant surprise this book turned out to be. <SPOILER> I can also say that I was genuinely shocked when she released the Erlking. I gasped out loud. I knew almost immediately that Vi was the wife of Thiago. But her ending up being the Child That Was Promised was a genuine twist. <SPOILER>
I am glad this book wasn't as one dimensional as it initially appeared to be. I started reading this book in June and only picked it back up at the beginning of July after a bad book slump. It was the perfect book to get me reading again.
