Not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, a poignant novel about a family coping with grief and loss that really resonated with me. But, I constantly felt like there were things I just wasn’t getting, things written between the lines I wasn’t seeing. I saw another reviewer say that this novel is more about what’s missing from the pages than what’s written on them, and I definitely agree. I just think I would have had a better reading experience if I had been able to see what the narrator was hinting at.
