3.5

It was just nice and festive, and a fitting read for this time of year. I’d say it was about a 3.5⭐️ read for me, which isn’t bad! Some thoughts:

This was my first Tessa Bailey book, and now I get what y’all mean about her books being 🌶! I was ready for the spice, but I do have to say that it can be a little over the top and cringey at times. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the insta-love, even though that’s a trope I normally like; there’s just something kinda creepy about it…

BUT it isn’t all bad. I enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine trope, especially since the female MC was the grump. And I liked the theme of learning to trust yourself and your talents. Stella’s arc was really nice overall.

The length is perfect, and it cements my belief that most romance novels could easily be 100 pages shorter. And this does have some cute, swoony moments. I especially liked the ending and epilogue.
