Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman

This book was not what I expected at all. I began reading this book because I bought a copy of a book which contained the entire second trilogy - Dragonlance Legends, so I thought, why not give it a try to the series since it has so many books in it?

And to my disbelief, despite all the bad reviews it has here on Goodreads, I liked it; this book has a story-driven plot, therefore; we do not get much of the characters' background and any secondary lines,plot-wise speaking. You only live in the present, being the witness of the same story and thoughts throughout the book, these two mainly being from a few characters.

I also have some criticisms about the book. I am not a fan of those big plot holes in which we are in a sort of important and entertaining scene, and all of a sudden, the chapter ends, and the next chapter jumps in time, and you simply do not get to read what happened during those scenes. And you are expected to just assume what happened. Now that I have finished reading the book, I have discovered that there is a book comprising short stories from the book series, and their main goal is to fulfil the plot holes they left throughout the books in the series.

Overall I recommend it if you do not want a book with heavy fantasy on it, perhaps you want a fantasy book with a light story, easy to digest since it was written for children many years ago.

I am planning to read the second volume of this trilogy, maybe by the end of this year.
