I loved the fact that Conner was a mafia man, but one that did right by is wife. He was very respectful and truly a protective person in the right way, not in a controlling way. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that there was a lot of yelling and not showing specially when it come to getting to know more of the family and friends. I love the found family trope, so if it had had more of that the book would have I whole other impact on me. I think it could have been bigger, so that we could learn more about the side characters. But there were really amazing scenes that gripped me to the screen, like the tatto one, it was simple, but I loved it. It was just missing more of showing us, instead of telling, because we never got to hear a conversation with Conner’s adoptive mother for example.
