A perfect book to read when you’re in need for some comfort and uplifting. This is a story about a human rights worker, trying to make lives of others in dangerous areas better while attempting to forget the void in her own life. Her life after an event which changed her is monotonous and dangerous. But when Ginny meets Blue, everything changes. Both Ginny and Blue were such heartwarming characters whom I wanted to give a hug because they needed it!
I found the plot of this story to be quite interesting. This is my first Danielle Steele book and I really enjoyed reading it and was completely invested in it. There were detailed descriptions of HR camps, uncomfortable topics which dealt with how faith can be used wrongly when it comes to child predators.
Overall, it was an intense book filled with hope. A story which details a special bond between a homeless child and a lost adult.
