The Madwomen of Paris by Jennifer Cody Epstein

4.0

I enjoyed this story. I don't know anything about hysteria or it's research so it was a cool entry point to that subject. I definitely didn't realize that was where Freud got his start so that was really interesting.

I really enjoyed the range of characters that was presented. Especially the stark contrast between Rosalie and Josephine. Josephine was my favorite character, she had such a clear view of life and her observations were always spot on.

It was really nice to see Laure's character growth and how she became a more reliable narrator. She really was trying to juggle everything at once.
