Exordia by Seth Dickinson

Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.
slow-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? N/A
  • Strong character development? No
  • Loveable characters? No
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
This is my first Seth Dickinson's book that I've read. I heard that the last trilogy (if I'm not wrong), so many people love the trilogy and I want to try to read a book by him too.

I saw the book cover and read the description and I really like the idea of the story and it sounds interesting and I'm hoping that I would like this book. But seems like I had too much expectation for this book or maybe I'm too dumb at science. So, I want to state that I did DNF this book at 20% and I realize that this book wasn't for me.

Actually, I pretty like the beginning of the book and I'm interested with Ssrin bcs of its wittiness and the Exordia concept. But, the more I read the book the more I can't get into it because it has too much info? over-explanations? and  I didn't really enjoy the writing  bcs whenever I read the book it feels I take so much time on it. I also didn't really like Anna because it doesn't really have personality. I know there'll be people who love this book and I understand it, especially if you really love "pure sci-fi".

Thank you Netgalley and Tor Publishing Group for the advanced copy of this book for review consideration. All my opinions are my own.
