This book is very YA - probably aimed at 14-16 year olds. Not little old me! Also felt it was a bit illegal, me listening to 16 year olds attempt sex 🤢
I can't fault Maeve for her selfishness, her immaturity because she is only 16, she doesn't know anything (like folklore, iykyk). I don't expect a young teen to be able to think conscientiously.
I otherwise enjoyed the witchy theme, and it actually makes me a bit paranoid about my own tarot cards! I'll have to pick another hobby.
The ending was sudden, which I knocked off 0.25 stars for.
I won't be reading the rest of this series, even though it was very nice to have Siobhan read it to me.
