Oliver Twist
by Charles Dickens
Somehow I have gotten into my 50’s without ever consuming any Oliver Twist related material so this book was an unspoiled gem to listen to. As with most Dickens’ works, this is filled with the most unlikely of coincidences, piled one on top of the other. But, who cares? Great characters. Piercing commentary on society. Humor. And, appropriately enough, lots of TWISTS and turns.
Tim Bentinck’s narration was wonderful with nice, distinct voicing of the characters. His delivery of some of the dialogue definitely brought out the wit and humor of it. (This was borrowed from the library via Hoopla.)
