Consider the Fork: A History of How We Cook and Eat by Bee Wilson

5.0

Enjoyed this book very much. Author goes through many avenues of cooking, weaving each together with fun connections. Her phrasing and wit make the (to a non cook) moderately dry subject pop out at you. Did skimp on American barbecue, but this is centered on a British kitchen. Great stories of historical figures and of those keeping those histories alive.

I "read" the audio version. The reader's accents and style complimented the author's words very well. Of course you have to hear a British focused cooking history read by a person with a British accent.
