ೃ — Picking this up right after reading the first book because it ended with a cliffhanger. The second part of Possessing Her Duet finds Callie dumbstruck and at a loss for how to move forward amid the lies and deceit. Yet for Hayden, who has declared her his, there is no question.

First of all, the way this book was written was better than the first one. However, there were lots of holes in the story. I don't even know where to start. I loved dark romance books but there were times that I felt uncomfortable reading this. Hayden and Calista's chemistry faded in every flip of the page, and Hayden being manipulative was just so wrong in any sense. As well as the personality changes of Calista was so out of place. Yes, the storyline was okay, but the way it was executed was not that good. That one thing that made it interesting was the element of surprise and mystery about Calista's past and her father's wrong-doings. Maybe that's what made me finish this duet because it made me curious. But for me, there are lots of dark romance books out there that you can read rather than this.
