The Penderwicks at Point Mouette by Jeanne Birdsall
3.0
here’s the thing, this book doesn’t get remotely interesting until alec shaves his beard. before that, it’s a whole lot of nothing. after that, im intrigued (even tho it becomes very obvious where that plot line is going).
i do feel like this is a very good book for skye though. lots of great character development for her here.
as an adult, i think my main problem with this series i loved as a child is that i can’t help but see batty as extremely annoying so yeah lol.
