When You Were Everything
by Ashley Woodfolk
I really enjoyed this book! I especially enjoyed that it focused on friendship vs. romance, and even family before romance. All the characters were complex, no one was 2 dimensional, and they were all flawed in very human ways. I definitely saw a little bit of myself when I was younger in most of the characters, and I especially loved Cleo.
I also liked that the booked flipped between past and present, so there were no major surprises, but it still had me emotional. I think it ended tied up nicely, but not SO MUCH so that it felt unbelievable. This book is cute, and touching, and warmed my heart when I needed it.
