Sackett's Land

This is technically historical fiction rather than a western as this first book takes place in England and S. Carolina. However, it's the intro to the Sackett family and how they got to the west. Ok, so this is pulp fiction - short on 'round' characters, some difficult to believe events (happening all to the same character), but still enjoyable. L'Amour was always good at giving description as well as focusing on ACTION! I think this was great! If you are 'literary' you would probably hate it.
