Starling House

It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great, it was just good.
I like the magical realism, the characters had interesting dynamics, history and growth to them. One character was written so well that they made me physically uncomfortable each time they turned up on the page.
Did it miss the mark in some areas yes but things a rarely perfect. The prose and imagery were quite lovely at times.
Pacing was a bit off and I kept forgetting the MFC was in her mid to late 20s.
Still overall entertaining and a good, quick read
