Cordialmente, Perfido by Maureen Johnson

4.0

After a night spent thinking about this book I can finally give my option. I liked this book. I liked it a lot. In fact, all throughout the book I was thinking this was going to be among my favourite reads of 2018. But then I came to the end of the book and it kinda ruined the whole experience. Why? Because of that damn cliffhanger. It was sooo unnecessary and kinda messed up and confusing. I get that there are two (TWO!!!) more books coming out but I think crime/mystery novel, as good as they are, should give you the answer you have been waiting for at the end of it. They're not made for sequels. I would have liked it better if the writer had decided to make another book about the same girl solving another mystery. That would have been a lot more interesting. Instead, what I got was an never ending series of unanswered questions running through my mind which are supposedly going to be answered in the next books, adding more and more details and characters to an already good story. But maybe I'm taking too soon. Maybe I should really wait and read what's coming next
